I’m a Lush…

I admit it. I like to drink. Coffee. I wouldn’t say I’m a coffee connoisseurer, but I am a creamer lush. Creamer is my crack.

Right now these are the flavors that beckon me from the fridge.

Cinnamon bun
Hazelnut
French vanilla
Vanilla Caramel
Belgium Chocolate Toffee

All of these are, of course, from Coffee-mate.
I don’t slum it with International Delight.

But my favorite time of this fall season, is the holiday line creamers. Oldies I look forward to and new ones that tease me.
I. Must. Have.

To get the holiday creamers I want, I’ll punch a kid in the nose, bash an elderly lady, trip a pregnant mom, and flirt with the guy that drives the cleaning Zamboni, if he’ll get me what I want.

I’ve been known to drop the butter, spill the soy, dump the 2%  to create a diversion if the last Pumpkin latte creamer is on the line.

Here are my two favorites so far.
I actually have 3 of the warm
cinnamon sugar cookies.
The new warm cinnamon sugar cookie is so good, I could snuggle up to it at night, if DH would make a little room in the bed, geez, selfish much? In fact, it’s so good, I might hook an IV line to my arm with it. Or marry it, if I could get away with it.
And of course, since we’re going into November. I’ll cherish my coffee and crack creamer in my holiday mug.
And when the holidays are over, I’ll be singing this song:

What say you, friend?
What’s your holiday crack creamer of choice?

*I really don’t trip pregnant women ,punch kids, or hurt the elderly. Flirting with the Zamboni cleaning guy…possible.

  1. Ha – around here I'm called The Coffee Snob for the same reason. My in-laws use powder or (gasp) skim milk. It's almost caused a rift between us. Last year I could get a holiday flavor by CM called Black Cherry Streusel, and if I could find that again I'd blow the monthly grocery budget and buy it out. For now, it's Pumpkin and Peppermint for me.

  2. I love liquid Coffeemate Creamer too!!

But…I recently read the ingredients. Have you seen the junk in there?
So now I switched to Coffeemate Natural Bliss.
It only comes in TWO flavors so far. WAH! But I think it's healthier. Think, anyway.

  3. I'm afraid I'm not a coffee drinker so creamer seems a bit pointless to me. 🙂 But now that it's getting colder, I do enjoy a good cup of hot chocolate lovingly sprinkled with mini marshmallows. Yum!

  4. You've awakened (ha! word choice) me to a whole new world of creamers. I didn't even know there was a pumpkin latte one out now. But that's probably b/c I switched from coffee to tea years ago. But still, for my decaf that would be it (or my standbys almond or hazelnut).

  5. You are too funny, Jessica!

I love creamers too, but my newist kick is to make pumpkin spice lattes. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!!!

  6. Anything with the words "pumpkin" and "spice" in the name does it for me. But, that sugar cookie seems awfully tempting!

  7. Oh, Jess – you are a NUT!! I'm not a coffee drinker, but hubby is, and he likes some of those creamers – though I don't think he's tried too many of the flavors. I'll just remember to stay out of your way in the creamer aisle.

  8. We do real whipped cream (out of a can) or chocolate ice cream in our regular coffee on the holidays. Of course, we also splurg and buy the good flavored coffees.

    I want coffee now!

  9. Similar to you, I have a drinking problem too. With coffee. But, I don't add creamer. However, I do love the Starbucks holiday flavors….mocha peppermint, gingerbread, egg nog. YUM!

  10. Peppermint mocha?!?! Yum! I've never seen that one. I must have it!

  11. I'm addicted to flavored creamers, too! A few years ago, Coffee-mate had a limited edition blueberry cobbler that was to die for, but sadly it has disappeared off the face of the earth. At this time of year, my drug of choice is pumpkin spice. Mmmmm!!!

  12. Hmm…not a coffee drinker.

The sugar cookie one sounds like it would be yummy though.

  13. Funny! I like plain old half and half or cream. I'm kinda iffy on creamers if they don't have natural ingredients. I have tried the peppermint mocha, though. Love it! Have a great weekend.

  14. umm, I won't be the one standing in your way fighting to get to the creamer. I like good old-fashioned, real raw cream. Farm girl! 🙂 Yep, I know. 🙂
    Nothing fake for me…heehee

Although, I have to admit that I do really really like Starbucks java chip frappuccino with a shot of raspberry. Yes, we all have our exceptions. 🙂

  15. Ahhhh, looooove this!

It's also sooo timely. I was just visiting my parents a couple weeks ago and on a quick grocery run with my mom. I'd been singing the praises of pumpkin spice creamer…we went to TWO stores and couldn't find it in either. So, my mom, awesome improvisers that she is, bought creme brule creamer and pumpkin pie spice…we whipped them together at home….SO GOOD.

Also, hazelnut and anything with raspberry make me so happy.

AND, just today my coworker brought in Almond Joy creamer – pretty darn good!

  16. I had to laugh while I was reading this~ I just got back from the store and spent about five minutes in front of the creamers, trying to decide which one to get (and that's with a 2-year-old with me). I ended up with Caramel Macchiato this time. That sugar cookie one looks fantastic!

  17. Can't believe I'm the only REAL coffee drinker reading this. You ladies don't like coffee. If you did, you wouldn't pour all the foreign substances in it.

  18. I'm not a coffee drinker, although I love the smell. My daughter would probably like the peppermint mocha creamer, though. I'll have to get her some when she's home from college for Christmas break.

  19. Just recently I found out that I love, love, love Hazelnut. The best hazelnut flavored coffee I've had so far was from a Keurig (of course 😉 …). Since then, I've tried to copy that in my dinky coffee maker and with other kinds, but nothing has come close. I want to buy the flavored creamers like you talked about but they can be so expensive, so lately I have had to settle for the powder/generics versions. As you know, it's just not the same.

p.s. I enjoyed your post. It made me smile. 🙂

  20. LOL. I'm a little bit of a fiend for coffee too.

  21. So, I feel like a loser. I've never developed a taste for coffee. As the nights turn cooler, I'm more of a hot tea or wassail kind of guy. I developed the tea drinking from my wife…Anyway, I'm glad I checked in because I do enjoy humor and sarcasm:)

  22. LOL! I love Coffee-Mate creamer too. In fact, I could even say that I like "a little coffee with my creamer". I'm a new follower via GFC, and looking forward to your posts 🙂

  23. Woman after my own heart! I have about 8 different creamers in the fridge right now. Favorite? Almond Joy, especially in coconut coffee. Yum. But pumpkin? Definitely a super close second.
