This book is set in a small idyllic town on the cliffs of Maine. It’s gorgeous and then October rolls around and the town is obsessed with Halloween. And the house the couple have purchased to fix up…has a dark history. Awful, nightmarish things have happened over the generations on Halloween in this house. In this town.
And Gwen McDaniel wants to unmask them and find the truth, but being in the house…it’s giving her anxiety and dread. She’s seeing things and hearing things she shouldn’t be. Is the house holding those dark memories and bringing them to life as she literally digs into the house? Is something else more sinister at play?
