Today, I am super excited to host the wonderfully talented, super amazing, Beth Vogt! Beth is someone you feel like you’ve known for ages! And her books? Oh yeah. So good! Today, I’ve asked her a few questions and we’re playing a few rounds of Would You Rather? So jump in and join the fun!

Somebody
Like You started with a long-time desire to write a book about twins
– I have a fraternal twin sister – as well as my own experience as a military
wife. But even more, Somebody Like You
was inspired by several friends who were widowed at young ages – one was a
military wife who was pregnant with her second child – as well as a close
friend whose son was killed in Afghanistan almost two years ago. I held all of
them close in my heart as I wrote this book.

Well, as I said, I do have a twin sister – but we are
fraternal. We looked so different from each other growing up that we had a
difficult time convincing people we were sisters, much less twins.

Celebrity Twin. According to that device, I’m twins with . . . um, Helen Hunt and Julia Stiles?! Funny story: I had several readers and

When I was in college, I had a lot of people tell me I looked like Ricki Lake. One of my friends even had me "autograph" a picture that fooled his sister. Ha!

People used to say I look like Kelly Ripa?? Been a while since I got that. But for some reason people generalize that all blondes look alike. "You know who you look like…(fill in any random famous blonde)" love the interview Beth!
I don't think all blondes look alike, but I can sorta maybe kina see Kelly. 🙂 Actually, I always think you look like one of my doctors here in Memphis. I think I've told you that before.

I think b/c I have curly dark hair people automatically "see" Andie Macdowell. BUT there was a time when several people thought I looked like Julia Ormond in her role in Sabrina (with the short curly hair).

Fun interview! I have fraternal twin boys who look nothing alike, either, Beth, and I have the same problem convincing people they are, in fact, twins.
As far as a doppelganger goes, when I was younger I got a lot of Julia Roberts and Brooke Shields. I think in both cases it had to do with my thick brown hair. Recently, I had a few people tell me I looked like the cover model for Joanne Bischof's Cadence of Grace series. 🙂

People used to get me and my sister mixed up. We were not twins, I am 3 years older, but we looked so much alike that especially from a distance people would get us confused.
Well, I was mistaken for Kirk Cameron during an unfortunate short-haired perm incident when I was 13. So I'm going with Kirk Cameron! (I LOVED Beth's book!!)
